This weeks wrap up is proudly brought to you by Byrnes Pies.

Last weekend saw the start of the one day Poole cup competition in all grades for our devils.

4ths:

The season started with only 9 players including 3 Junior cricketers. Pinnacle batting first ended their innings at 6-236. Justin Shepherd taking 3-23 while the the other wickets were shared around. Of note the 3 juniors performed well with ball and in the field. In reply Norths ended up 4-192. Big contribution from Mark Pashalis ended up on 94 not out and Mark Vella on 34. As a whole the side did very well being short and a lot of fun was had. Bigger and brighter things to come from the group as the season goes on.

3rds:

The boys narrowly went down in a nail biter.

Norths batted first and were a bit underdone with the bat only managing 122, with Ryan pollard 41 and Chris Nemitz 19 were the only scores of note. In reply Magpies chased down the runs in the last over with 2 balls to spare. Rob Brett 4 for 18- 7 overs, Ryan Pollard 1for 17- 5overs, Lachy Brett 1for34- 7 overs. It was a disappointing result but the boys fought hard till the end.

2nds:

Ours Seconds boys came up against a young Walkerston side on the weekend. Our guys batted first and managed to scrape to 9/166 with Chris Day and Daniel Tatow managing 33 each and Troy Newton closing out the innings with a well needed 22. In reply our boys were able to bowl Walkerston out for only 68 with Jarrod Brooks and Aaron Durelli taking 3 wickets each.

1sts.

A massive game for our 1st grade boys on the weekend. They batted first and made the most of the power play scoring 110 from it. Darryn Dyer opened the batting and got a quick fire 49 from 29 but the two stars of the show were Peter Shepherd 120 from 86 and Jason Butterworth 158 from 105. This had us finish on 6/373. In reply our boys bowled well and were able to bowl Pioneer Valley out for 121. The wickets were all shared around with Conor Bryant and Mason Kohler taking 3 wickets each Wayne Kohler taking 2 and Peter Shepherd and Kerrod Tortora taking 1 each. The boys were able to secure a double bonus point out of the game.

Well done to all Devils last weekend. Very promising start so keep that momentum going into this weekend.
